This engine is presently being restored to working condition. It would have been used predominantly in Nieuport's and Sopwith's but also when captured in a number of Fokker triplanes.... Aparently the German ace had a box of champagne on offer to the infantry if they could salvage allied engines and he was reknown for flying his tripe with a Clerget.
